ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY

ECOS adopted a 2 mile stretch of the AA highway from miles 15 to 17. The next clean-up will be Fall 2009!

Please stay tuned next semester to participate!   We meet outside of the New Science Building at 9:00 am by the entrance to faculty parking lot C.  Please join us!  Ask your professor about extra credit for helping keep your environment clean!!

Recycling on Campus

The University has recently expanded the recycling program on campus thanks to few dedicated ECOS members with fellow faculty and staff.  A special thanks to VP's Ken Ramey and Larry Blake for embracing the thought and financing the recycling of aluminum, glass and plastic.

For more information on recycling, like how, where and why, check out these flyers:

Ink Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling Program:

ECOS is collecting ink cartridges and cell phones!  We can also recycle toner cartridges!  If you have any of these items, many of the NKU buildings have bags/drop off boxes or we can take care of them for you; please email us.

Earth Day

Each year in April ECOS, the Center for Environmental Education, and other student organizations sponsor an Earth Day celebration on campus.  We invite interesting and educational speakers; local environmental organizations; and Earth friendly retail stores.  If you would like to see a particular vendor at Earth Day 2010, please let us know!
